OR function - Returns TRUE if any Arguments are TRUE 


The OR function returns a TRUE if any of its arguments are true and it returns a FALSE if all of its arguments are false.  

The Syntax for the OR function is:
   OR(logical1, [logical2], …)

The figure below shows the OR function with three logical conditions.  All three of these conditions are False.  If and only if all of the arguments are false will the OR function return a FALSE.

The first logical condition below is true.  The value in cell D1 is less than the value in cell E1.  The other conditions are false.  The OR function returns a TRUE because even if only one logical condition is true the function returns a TRUE.
